Rope Through Hand
The Effect
The Magician closes his fist around two ropes, has the spectator tie a knot around his hand with one of the ropes. The spectator pulls on the ropes and the knot goes through the magicians hands.
How It's Done
Start with two ropes of equal length, about 2 feet long. Loop the two ropes together and close your fist around the loop, so that it appears as though you are simply grabbing onto the middle of both ropes,
while you are actually hiding the fact that the two ends coming out of each side of your hand are actually part of the same rope.
Now just have a spectator tie a single knot around your fist and pull the two sides, the ropes will come out of your fist as though the knot has gone through your hand.
