Coin Matrix

The Effect
The magician places four coins on a table and a card on top of each coin. As the magician removes the cards, the coins teleport from under one card to another.
How It's Done
Place four quarters on a table in an square, spaced about a foot apart. Take four playing cards. To the spectator it is going to appear as though you simply place a card on top of each quarter, but as you place the first card over the quarter, use your thumb to pick it up and conceal it under the other three cards in your hand. Proceed to place the second and third cards down without sleight, then when you place the fourth card down you are also placing the quarter in your hand under the card. At this point there are four cards face down, one of the cards has nothing under it, two of the cards have a single quarter under them, and one card has two quarters under it, the spectator should beleive that each card has a single quarter under it. Put your hands over two of the cards, one should have one quarter under it and the other two. When you lift up the card with a single quarter under it, grab the quarter with your thumb and hold it hidden under the card, no sleight is needed when you pick up the card covering two coins, it will appear as though a quarter has jumped from under one card to the other. Place the quarter and the card down on top of the two quarters, so that there are now three quarters under the card. Repeat this process with the other card that has only one quarter under it, again the quarter appears to jump to under the other card. Finally you have one card with four quarters under it and another with none, simply snap your fingers and remove the cards to show that the final quarter has teleported.
